Central regional libraries play an important role in the Slovenian library system, as they carry out special tasks for their respective regions. These are public libraries that, in addition to their primary mission of providing access to information, knowledge, and culture, also perform additional professional functions. Their key responsibility is to provide specialized information, professional support, and a broader and more advanced selection of library materials for the residents of the entire region.

TOOLS FOR MEDIA LITERACY
At the Srečko Vilhar Central Library Koper, in collaboration with PINA and the Center for Investigative Journalism Oštro, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, we have developed an educational tool – the FulFejk playing cards. Designed for children aged 13 and above, the cards are an excellent resource for fostering media literacy, critical thinking, and the ability to recognize misinformation.
